SALES/ACCOUNT REPRESENTATIVE

 

 

MUST-HAVES

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to pitch to potential advertisers to increase and foster sales

• Ability to articulate client needs to the art department

• Can provide effective counsel for clients in need of marketing guidance

• Ability to foster strong relationships with clients

• Aptitude in developing long and short term marketing plans for small businesses

• Able to anticipate problems and proactively develop solutions

• Computer savvy: Familiar with Microsoft Office® products, email, etc.

• Demonstrated understanding of print-production, deadlines & publishing practices

• Brilliant negotiation skills

• Ability to travel locally to meet with and generate potential clients

• Strong attention to detail and quality

• A sense of humor and able to get along with everyone on the team

 

NICE-TO-HAVES

 

• A.A, A.S., B.A. or B.S. in Marketing or related field of study

• Experience in small business advertising

• Ability to recognize and follow new marketing trends, where applicable

• Very flexible schedule

• Ability to make sales pitches to largish groups of people

• Good eye for design

• Can identify the difference between low and high resolution images

• Ability to create compositions for the art department from client descriptions (we can always show you how to do this)

MUST-HAVES

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to write interesting and compelling stories

• Ability to travel locally to write about local events and people

• Excellent follow-up skills and can complete assignments in-house and remotely

• Ability to research and generate new ideas for articles

• Strong attention to detail and quality

• A sense of humor and able to get along with everyone on the team

 

NICE-TO-HAVES

 

• A.A, A.S., B.A. or B.S. in English, Communications or related field of study

• Previous experience writing for monthly publications

• Very flexible schedule

• Photography skills or aptitude with a camera

• Can identify the difference between low and high resolution images

• Strong social media skills
